Description:

This is a revision to my previous Word Making activity, based on Patricia Cunningham's "Making Words" phonics instruction method. You choose which letters you want, then the student practices making word-patterns and spelling patterns by constructing words using letters on cards. No click-and-drag is needed, and the letters are animated to "fly" to the spots you choose. If you make a word, the corresponding PCS symbol is automatically shown and the word is read aloud. This version simplifies the complexity of the task by not allowing the user to pick another letter until the currently selected letter has been placed. This activity requires BM+ or SDPro v6.1.3 or higher. 9/24/09 - Fixed a bug that prevented you from swapping a letter in the same location more than once.
