Description:
I use this with a whole class, but it would work with a small group too. I give each kid a strip that says, "Figurative" and one that says, "Literal," and then present the pictures and read the passage. The kids have to hold up their strip to say whether the phrase is used literally or figuratively. You can also read the sentences without the pictures once the kids get the hang of the activity.
