Description:
This board was designed for a 20 y/o who had a previous inpatient stay following a car accident where she suffered a TBI three months prior. The client presents with difficulty in memory, concentrating, planning, sequencing, and organizing tasks making participation in meaningful activity very difficult. She reports staying at her parents’ house with her dog while she recovers in a one-story house with a fenced yard. She hopes to slowly start working towards participation in ADLs, health management, and education with the hopes of not delaying her graduation date very much. This board was designed to help restore the client’s ability to plan and sequence her morning routine while her brain is recovering from a traumatic injury. During the interview she discussed her dog as being very important, as the dog has helped her through many important life role changes including the transition to college. Considering this factor, the board was designed about being able to care for her pet whi
