Description:
A story describing Landmarks in the United States. It starts off with a short description of what lanmarks are and has pictures of landmarks in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The rest of the story is about different landmarks across the United States(Mostly out of the North East region). Landmarks covered are: Mesa Verde, Colorado; Arches National Park, Utah; Yosemite National Park, California; Badlands, South Dakota; Old Faithful, Wyoming; The Mansions in Newport, Rhode Island; Niagra Falls, New York; Gateway Arch, St Louis; Hoover Dam, Arizona; Delta Queen Riverboat, Tennesse; Space Needle, Washington; Golden Gate Bridge, California;Alcatraz, California; Fort Jefferson/Dry Tortugas, Florida; Fort Sumter, South Carolina; The Alamo, Texas; Statue of Liberty, New York. It is rather long and can be broken up into two lessons or individual lessons if needed. It is mostly interactive. Also included are two worksheets, a circle the correct US Landmark, and a match the landmark to the correct written word.
