I use this activity as a component of a student's goal to match calendar elements. The following suggested directions are in the Boardmaker file. Suggested use: - print all pages on cardstock and laminate - cut out the squares on this page (& following page) - keep one as a TEACHER SET and one as a STUDENT SET - attach velcro to the back of the STUDENT SET and attach cards to the blank spaces (first page) - using the TEACHER SET, show the student what holiday it is - student then uses the STUDENT SET to match the correct holiday (use a selection as big or small as needed) - student then places the correct choice on the blank square next to "The holiday this month is:" (highlight this square to point out its difference)
