Description:

This is an activity to reinforce and teach the spelling of the 2nd group of words taught by the Hooked on Phonics program. At the top of each board, the student is asked, through spoken directions and a picture cue of the word, to find the letters below that spell a specific an word (6 different letters are given). When the student picks the correct letters, the computer automatically places the letter chosen into the message display box. Each letter is spoken and the final word is spoken. The letters can be shuffled on each page so the student doesn’t memorize the position of the letter. Every 3rd word board can be printed out, On the message display board page, (and every 3rd word board) the student can choose to go to a sorting board activity or go to a page of reward videos. The words sorted are the “at” words previously taught in Hooked on Phonics and the current “an” words.
