Communication story (1 of 3 parts) board for Ezra Jack Keats "The Snowy Day." Great for combining up to 3 picture symbols. Sequencing, story retell, commenting, answering, etc... Examples of targets for MODELING and responses: "Book (is the) Snow(y) Day." ; "Peter wakes up"; Peter sees snow."; "Peter eats breakfast."; and "Peter gets dressed." Writing: Cut out symbols and have child order them in sentence form, closing with punctuation.
