Description:
Use these cues to enhance detailed comprehension during a story or lesson and to expand utterances. This can be used for RTI or push in lessons as well as therapy time. Can be used with pre-K to upper elementary to assist in visualizing a story or even Science & Social Studies lessons, anything the child needs to visualize. Examples: During Story Time, Writing, or Personal Share Use cues to help child visualize the story (what movements do you see? What size was the ......? How did the character feel? ... Use the cues to expand oral utterances or written detailed language "The boy felt scared when he saw the dog", "The cows were typing loudly", "The car was huge". During Science time - Help students visualize the color, shape, size, movement of the earth during an earthquake or volcano. Picture the Boston Tea Party as a movie, what were the people in the background doing, feeling, what colors, shapes and sizes were happening in the scene?
